So I've been thinking for a while about this and I'd like to give it a try, haven't gotten the kinks worked out on how exactly it'll work yet. I'm hoping to get this settled soon and starting as soon as possible to see if I'll have any success. What do you guys think? Although a heads up is that it'll be line art only, as I'm not great at coloring.
I'm trying to work on a portfolio and a demo reel, but things are going slow. Things have not started off so well, plus cousin's graduation, brother just came back from Canada for a week, and birthdays to celebrate. Been really busy, hopefully I'll be working on stuff this week.
Sounds pretty cool, it'll probably be really tough to pull off but good luck. Btw do you have any aim or anything? It's not that easy trying to contact you.
your gallery brings me back to my childhood! i got into art the same way you did, copying the hell outta comic books. draw like crazy, and have fun doing it!
Glad it brought back good memories, it would be terrible to me if it had the opposite effect. It's basically what I grew up on, cartoon and comics. I did pretty much the same thing you just said, copy stuff I loved and had a blast doing it at the time.
It's funny though, recently I've been looking back on my old drawings and thinking about how much fun it used to be. I've been devoting a lot of time to try to learn more these days, but haven't had as much fun drawing as I used to were I could spend an entire day drawing just one drawing and not even finish while still being satisfied with my work.
I'd really like to get that feeling back, but it's tough and I've got to put out work if I want to become an animator. Anyway, sorry if I've said way more than necessary and thanks for the add. Oh and you've got some impressive stuff in your gallery.
thanks. just keep doing what you like and your goals will evolve. gotta stay stimulated and keep learning- boredom leads to distraction, and too many of those will get you nowhere.
